The Angle

What an Imum Coeli line is.

The bottom of the sky, directly beneath the Midheaven and on the far side of the Earth from it. It is the angle of private ground, and it governs home, family, property, roots, and the part of a life nobody is watching.

An Imum Coeli line is a meridian, and it is the exact opposite meridian to the same planet's Midheaven line: half a world apart, one straight stroke each.

Why Jupiter on this angle in particular.

On the Imum Coeli Jupiter works on foundations: bigger houses, more people through them, a family story that widens to include somewhere new. It is one of the gentler places to settle and one of the easier ones to overcommit in, because the expansion happens where nobody is auditing it. Property and household costs both have a way of growing to fit the optimism.

The Interpretation

What this line tends to support.

Our own entry for Jupiter Imum Coeli, quoted exactly as the readings use it.

Abundance settles into the foundations. The house is larger than you planned, the table longer, the door more often open, and family life takes on a philosophical or religious warmth. This is a generous place to be rooted.

What to watch for.

Comfort at this scale quietly retires ambition. Housing costs run past intention, generosity slides toward display, and momentum can dissolve into a very pleasant life that goes nowhere in particular.

Is this the line you are looking for?

Consult this line about space, in both senses: a larger house, a fuller household, more life going on around you. It is a good line for a decision about family and a poor one for a decision about restraint. The honest caution is financial rather than emotional, since houses and households both expand to fit the optimism.

Computed

Where this line actually runs.

A line meaning is easy to write and hard to check, so here is this one on three real charts. Cast any of them in software you trust and the lines should land where we say they do. The method, and what we do not claim, is here.

Nowhere in the gazetteer sits within 80 km of this line: no city of 100,000 people or more, and no national capital. That is a real answer rather than a missing one. This line spends its length over water, ice or ground nobody has built a city on.

Nearest first, kept 150 km apart so a list reads as a map. Countries on the US State Department Do Not Travel list are left out, checked 2026-07-26. Everything named is within 80 km, the tightest band we use; influence carries out to 805 km. The field guide has the bands in full.

How This Page Was Made

Which parts are measured, and which are craft.

The distances are measured. Each is the shortest great-circle distance from a real settlement to the exact curve of the line, computed against a committed public-domain gazetteer by the same engine that measures a paying customer's own.

The interpretation is a different kind of thing and we would rather say so than blur it. It is craft, written by hand in the tradition locational astrologers have refined since the nineteen seventies, and it describes what a place tends to support and to demand. It is not a prediction, and no line on any map decides what happens to a person.
