The Uranus Imum Coeli Line

The bottom of the sky, directly beneath the Midheaven and on the far side of the Earth from it. It is the angle of private ground, and it governs home, family, property, roots, and the part of a life nobody is watching.

An Imum Coeli line is a meridian, and it is the exact opposite meridian to the same planet's Midheaven line: half a world apart, one straight stroke each.

The Imum Coeli is the angle a person plants themselves in, and Uranus is the planet least interested in staying anywhere. The result is frequent moves, unconventional households, and a durable sense of being between arrangements. Read constructively it is ground for anybody deliberately breaking with the way they were raised. Read carelessly it is an expensive way to be restless.

Rootlessness has a bill and it comes due in the nervous system. Moves happen unplanned, the domestic base always feels provisional, and emotional footing can go missing for long stretches at a time.

Ask this line whether a place is somewhere to land or somewhere to pass through, and be ready for the second answer. It suits a deliberate break with how you were raised. It is the wrong line to lean on for a decision about permanence, and anybody buying property on the strength of it should be honest about that.

Choose it when a family tradition has to be broken rather than negotiated, or when you genuinely want a life unencumbered by an address. It will demand that you give up the idea of permanence and cost you steadiness at home, and it will hand you a life you designed instead of inherited.

Uranus is one of the five bodies the tradition calls difficult, and all twenty of those entries carry a passage like this one. A demanding line is not a verdict.

The distances are measured. Each is the shortest great-circle distance from a real settlement to the exact curve of the line, computed against a committed public-domain gazetteer by the same engine that measures a paying customer's own.

The interpretation is a different kind of thing and we would rather say so than blur it. It is craft, written by hand in the tradition locational astrologers have refined since the nineteen seventies, and it describes what a place tends to support and to demand. It is not a prediction, and no line on any map decides what happens to a person.
