The Neptune Imum Coeli Line

The bottom of the sky, directly beneath the Midheaven and on the far side of the Earth from it. It is the angle of private ground, and it governs home, family, property, roots, and the part of a life nobody is watching.

An Imum Coeli line is a meridian, and it is the exact opposite meridian to the same planet's Midheaven line: half a world apart, one straight stroke each.

The Imum Coeli holds roots, and Neptune blurs whatever it holds. Households here are porous, family stories turn into mythology, and the place itself tends to be chosen for a feeling rather than for a reason. It can be a profoundly restorative line to live on, and it is a difficult one to keep a clear-eyed household budget inside.

Retreat can become disappearance. Escapism finds the private hours first, boundaries with family go porous, and the building itself is prone to damp, leaks and trouble hidden behind the walls.

A line for a retreat rather than for a base. It suits a decision about where to go quiet, make things, or be near water. It is a difficult one to weigh for a household with a budget and a schedule, because the boundaries it softens include the ones that keep a house running.

Choose it for a sabbatical, a convalescence, a season of writing or deep psychological work away from the noise. It will demand structure that you have to impose on yourself and cost you worldly momentum, and it will restore something effort could not.

The interpretation is a different kind of thing and we would rather say so than blur it. It is craft, written by hand in the tradition locational astrologers have refined since the nineteen seventies, and it describes what a place tends to support and to demand. It is not a prediction, and no line on any map decides what happens to a person.
