The eastern horizon: where this planet was climbing into view at the minute you were born. It is the angle of the self, and it governs the body, the manner, and the way a place meets you before you have said anything to it.
An Ascendant line is a curve, not a stripe. The longitude where a planet rises shifts with latitude, and it shifts hardest near the latitudes where that planet stops rising at all.
The Ascendant is identity as other people encounter it, and Uranus is the planet of the sudden break. Together they make a place where change is not something you undertake but something you are: appearance, manner and self-description all shift, often within months. It is exhilarating and genuinely destabilising, and the question worth asking first is whether the thing you want to change is really yourself.

Choose it after a long stretch of conforming, when the cost of being agreeable has become physical. It will demand instability and cost you relationships built on the older version of you, and it will return a self you can actually locate.
