The classical line for partnership, where affection has somewhere to go and meeting people costs less than it usually does.
The western horizon: where this planet was sinking out of sight as you were born. It is the Ascendant's opposite point and the angle of the other party, governing partners, rivals and counterparts, and whatever reaches a life through other people rather than through effort.
A Descendant line is a curve, not a stripe. The longitude where a planet sets shifts with latitude, and it shifts hardest near the latitudes where that planet stops setting at all.
This is the pairing most people mean when they ask which line is for love, and it is the right answer as far as any single line is one. The Descendant governs the person opposite; Venus governs attraction and regard. What the line supplies is a lowered barrier rather than an outcome. Warmth arrives more readily here, and what gets done with it is still entirely a matter of choice.

This is the classical line for love, and it earns the reputation. Partnership comes toward you rather than away, people arrive kind and available, and the ordinary work of being with someone gets noticeably lighter. Agreements of every kind settle amicably in this air.
A pleasant partnership is not automatically the right one, and this line makes leaving harder than staying. Watch for the arrangement that is comfortable, harmonious, and slowly dissolving whoever you were before it.
The obvious line to consult about love, and the one place a reading should be most careful. It is genuinely informative about whether a place makes meeting easier. It is not informative about whether the relationship you already have survives a move, which depends on the two of you and not on the sky.

The interpretation is a different kind of thing and we would rather say so than blur it. It is craft, written by hand in the tradition locational astrologers have refined since the nineteen seventies, and it describes what a place tends to support and to demand. It is not a prediction, and no line on any map decides what happens to a person.
